This has been the best accommodation we had in Albania. The place is newly refurbished and redecorated and the host managed to keep the original style and architecture of the building yet the rooms are equipped with modern facilities. Everything about this hotel was brilliant! It’s beautifully designed, clean and comfortable and the best part is the lovely welcome and hospitality provided by Viola. She was so lovely and stayed back late to receive us when we were driving a long way to Gjirokaster. I wish we stayed here more nights!

Private Balcony looking up to the castle, perfect for late evening drinks. Great sympathetic restoration which the owner explained took three years complete. The breakfast is substantial and includes some beautiful traditional warm Albanian mini doughnuts with honey and jam. The owner is happy to give guidance on places to visit and is obviously very proud of her town
